Let your fellow bus riders know about the devastating cuts for this Sunday March 14.
We are asking everyone to let your fellow bus riders know about the changes. Talk to the people waiting with you at the bus stops, and on the bus. If you have time to do more, you can spend a few hours riding lines back and forth making announcements, or talking to riders at busy stops.
The days we most need your help are Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, but you can start right away. We need help on routes with partial or full eliminations: 21, 24, 29, 43, 47, 53, 59, 62, 70, 74, 75, 76, 86, 131, 147, 164, 172, 193, 693. Tell us what days and routes you'd like to do and we'll coordinate so that together, we can cover as much of Orange County as possible. Click for more information and to volunteer...

Call for “New” State Funding for Buses
Thank you for calling your state legislators last week - The alternate gas tax swap bill that funds transit is now on the Governor's desk for signature! This legislation will send an immediate $400 million in one-time funding transit, and then $350 million annually. It's our best bet to prevent more devastating cuts in September. Governor's office: 213-897-0322 or 916-445-2841
Bus Books and Bus Service Change brochures on buses and online
The new Bus Service Change brochures and Bus Books are now available online at www.octa.net/marchchange and on the buses. It's best to have both documents since the new concepts are explained fully in the brochure, but the timetables are only in the Bus Book. Preserve your copies or use the online versions as OCTA is printing only limited amounts.
Important: Additional routes with smaller schedule changes, not mentioned in Bus Service Change brochure, but in Bus Book: 33, 55, 60, 79, 86, 167, 211, 411.

Bus Books?
While there are a lot of service change booklets printed on very low quality paper resembling heavy duty toilet paper, there are no bus books dealing with GLOOMY SUNDAY March 14 to be seen on any line I have traveled.

Bus books not there?
Hrm. I see bus books on lines 53 and 54, I think. What lines do you usually ride? You can always find the bus books at www.octa.net too.
Bus Books
I think it's best for anyone and everyone who has internet access to NOT take any paper bus books as they can easily access the online bus schedules. It's best to save the paper bus books onboard buses for those who don't have internet access.
