OCTA.net: new website design live is lighter, more airy (UPDATE: information still hard to find or inaccurate)

OCTA has rolled out a new website design just last night, and it's looking good with a simplified navigation header, a unified homepage, and attractive graphics. It just looks easier to use and figure out, so kudos to OCTA's marketing team.

The one thing I'm puzzled with, though, is how cryptic the "March 2010 Service Change" information is:

Good lord,  there's no page title, meaning that much of this information can't be indexed by search engines. There's not even a summary on their link, nor a quick one-line description, of what this service change entails (hint: this service change is not a good thing. A lot of bus lines might get cancelled, 24-hour bus service will likely get cancelled, to name a few). So it seems that by burying this information into about three clicks and lists and lists of PDF files — coupled with OCTA's difficult-to-find information printed on their buses — means that OCTA is not just doing its riders a disservice, but trying its best to cover up what will likely be wholesale cancellation of bus services.

EDIT: Reader Tony Cynor just informed me that the new website doesn't even have the latest information, showing schedules and rider alerts from two service changes ago in March 2009 read more→
